I was nursing another headache this morning so drinks last night must have been successful. I remember the events of the evening quite well but I have almost total memory loss after Mal left last night. What time did you leave Mal as I did not get a receipt for the last lot of drinks we had together. The 3rd Amex receipt I have is for 8:46pm so you would have got the next shout and then me another shout and then you another shout.

I know I had only drunk one Pure Blonde in the room and I did eat quite well as witnessed by the update in my calorie counter spreadsheet. I had also managed to boil some eggs and also boil cabbage for today. I also logged on to AFF and posted some garble but I have no recollection of doing any of these things. I think too much alcohol is starting to produce permanent short term memory loss. I am starting to worry something is going to happen one of these days....

Someone (anat0l ?) passed me an empty off the table to get it out of the picture. Can't think why.

It was really great to meet everyone and put faces and names to the handles. I knew I was leaving early - after only a bit over 2 hours - but didnt realise quite how much I was missing.

Looking at my Amex account there are 5 transactions for the Wednesday night. I must got another shout after your last shout. :shock: No wonder I wasn't feeling well yesterday.

While work Christmas parties have the benefit of free drinks, they don't do too much for my transaction counts. So after no tx last night, I was a bit seedy this morning!

On a positive note the manager at the Mill Hotel had a word to me on Wednesday night about our monthly gatherings and advised me in future to let him know in advance and he will organise some nibblies for us. Definitely a good gesture I would not have asked for or expected to happen....

That got a good chuckle from me.

I wonder how much we actually spent as a group and what sort of percentage that would have been of the takings for the night. I spent $69.50 as confirmed by Amex and there was 7 of us there at various times and Bundy Bear and Anat0l also had something to eat....

Amex shows I spent $65.50, with another 2 drinks that I bought for cash (so maybe another $10).

I suspect as a whole, AFF'ers would spend somewhere between about $300 and $450 in total. As for the breakdown of AFF vs the rest of the bar, I would suspect it would be around 25-45% of the takings for the night. Once they take off Amex merchant fees though, it may not be that much
