Dublin Hiltons

Hi Guys

I'll be in Dublin for a couple of days late June and have just been checking availability at the various Hilton properties in the city. Will be points bookings as the prices are looking somewhat exe, guess that's high season for you..

Wondering what everyone's experiences are of the various Hilton, DT and Conrad properties? Just dropped back to Gold from Diamond so particularly interested in any Gold level upgrades etc. Trying to decide if the Conrad, Morrison DT or the Kilmainham are worth an extra 20000 points a night..

Have stayed Morrisin DT and it was fabulous! Perfect location - perfect service - would never contemplate any other Dublin Hotel - MHO only.

I've stayed at both The Morrison and The Conrad.

The Morrison is in a great location, has a great vibe and the rooms are quite modern.

The Conrad was in an ok spot, but a little bit removed from the action. I disliked how dated the facilities were. While the staff were great (and the breakfast too) i just felt the facilities hasn't kept pace with the brand/price positioning.

Beyond breakfast, I don't think we received any special benefits as a gold at the Conrad and Diamond at The Morrison.

I migh add omelette at brekky in Morrison best I have eaten in my life - general level of service in all facets at Morrison equal to any hotel I have exp - could not recommend it high enough.

Disclaimer: Our stay was 7nts 2yrs ago - hope still same.

FWIW I have selected the Doubletree Burlington Rd for a lengthy stay in January due to the solid reviews of the executive lounge. Will be switching my spend to my Macquarie HH card shortly to reach diamond status.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Decided on the Hilton Dublin as only 40000 points a night compared to 60000 for the Morrison. Couldn't justify the 50% extra for only 2 nights, especially as points are harder to come by now I'm only Gold and with the A$ rate..
