Duty free LAX -> SYD -> MEL

Hi all,

Quick question about how to carry duty free back from lax to melbourne on va metal based on this transfer info.

Domestic and International Flight Connections | Virgin Australia


Will I have to repack it into my checked luggage? Or can i get a sealed bag to carry on? Advice from someone who has done this before would be appreciated

You can just bring it on as carry on baggage in the bags you get when you buy it. Does not need to be the sealed duty free bags as you aren't going internationally anywhere else.

The only time you will have a problem is if you have over 5L of alcohol per person. Dangerous Goods regulations only allows for 5L of alcohol per person (which of course is in it's packaging and has not been opened).
