Just wondering if anyone has been able to get a reward seat on DXB-SYD/PER route in Oct 2023?
I have a one way ticket to LHR mid Sep and would like to return via DXB in mid Oct but I cannot find any DXB flights at all on the Qantas website...

Surely they haven't been all booked out already...

They don't necessarily always release seats, indeed often Emirates haven't released any at all of late. Or they might release some down the line.

If you're trying to get back from LHR and can't find anything LHR - SYD, you could go into multi city and do LHR - CMB and CMB - SYD (Sri Lankan) or LHR - BLR (BA) and BLR - SYD (QF)...though QF availability may not be out yet depending on your tier.

Could be a placeholder/back up while you're hoping for other seats to free up...

Thanks! I do have a back up of LHR-HKG, HKG-SYD but my preference would be flying out of DXB as I wanted to spend a few days there before heading home. Other options considered are CDG or FRA but they're kinda like last resorts

Have you considered AUH? I know it's a little bit further away from Dubai than DXB but there could potentially be availability with QR. In addition, since Etihad is a partner of Virgin, this also raises the possibility of finding an Etihad award from LHR to AUH then flying out of either AUH or DXB (whichever has availability) back to AU.
