I've had a go with this over the past few months and have probably earned about 1500 AAdvantage points (6000 e-rewards points) so far. Each to their own of course, but I do find that the amount of points earned is pretty low and it takes a lot of time and effort for paltry earnings. I get a few surveys a week and every time I tell myself it's not worth it, but when I have a built-up list of surveys available I clear them all out and get another 500 AAdvantage points fairly quickly so it keeps me coming back.
Most surveys seems to be worth about 300 e-rewards points (for reference, 2000 e-rewards = 500 AAdvantage), and my pet hate is getting about 10 questions through a survey and they say 'sorry you aren't eligible, here's 50 points'; they're clearly stringing you along for extra info without paying out the proper points. Especially with high-value surveys (~600 points) this happens a lot and it's infuriating.
I do also wonder about data retention and security with these things. Each survey itself is fairly innoccuous but over time if all of this data was retained by e-rewards or someone leeching the data they could get a disturbingly detailed picture of your life.
