Would e-tickets suffice for travel to Fiji? Or, is it only paper tickets?

I think all flights are paper tickets if using the QF codeshare....

Sorry.

Hi Mal & Foreigner...

At the moment, all tickets to Fiji (either on FJ or the QF codeshare) are Paper tickets.

I am not sure why it has been such a drama for etickets to Fiji as FJ are hosted by QF (I am 99% sure of this).

Well, as I am travelling Monday and to be certain, I checked with FJ and the advice is that e-tickets are okay provided I bring along confirmation (in my case from Zuji.com.au) of booking and payment.

Yeah, the FJ flights are "E-Ticket Candidates" which means E-Tickets can be issued.

I'm not sure why QF has so many issues with needing paper tickets for codeshare flights.

Very Interesting...

I didn't know that FJ was now e-ticketable. When I looked in Galileo during the week it didn't show as a ticketing option...

If FJ can e-ticket, there should be no reason why QF needs to paper ticket on the codeshare. As I said earlier, I believe that FJ is hosted by QF and hence the e-ticket ability should be the same.

Kiwi Flyer when was your NZ-NAN flight? I am thinking that etickets on FJ must be a relatively new thing.

No I was flying on Air NZ AKL-NAN on an eticket. This was quite a while ago (2004?).

Now reading back what you wrote, it makes a lot more sense!

FJ must now be e-ticketing as well!

Sorry for the confusion. I should be clearer when I type NZ whether I'm meaning airline or country.

Kiwi Flyer that is what caught me out!

It also gave me a thought that there aren't many airlines that share the same 2 letter code as their airline! So NZ is special in so many ways!

There is US and US!

If you include country codes then there are lots more - VN and VN, CA and AC, FJ and FJ, etc.

Another one that trips me up sometimes is IE and EI.

Trip to NAN last November, wife and I were on QF codeshare (Paper) and family and friends were on FJ (e-ticket).

For some reason it created a bit of confusion at checkin
