Earlier start for Shop Small this year

I went to 2 wine stores that appear on the Shop Small list.
Both places are private houses :confused:
Gave up.

One of the places I was thinking of going to was in the middle of Sydney Harbour according to Shop Small map. Decided to give it a miss.

A bit bummed out after this Shop Small weekend... I usually have no issues using my AMEX where I shop but this weekend everywhere I went didn't accept... Actually thought there may have been less participating businesses than the last shop small?

Who/why/what/how does shop small work? Who is paying and what is the incentive? I am assuming the small business doesn't lose out so must be a massive expense to Amex.

I went to dinner at a place because of the shop small and they didn't take Amex even though they were listed on the site! I've sent an email to Amex, lets see what they do. I've heard of them applying the $10 credit in cases like mine.

Credits all through including those on a supplementary Edge registered via amex connect

Mine came through for Platinum Charge and Platinum Edge on Mon/Tues. Still waiting for credit on ANZ Amex (credit transaction showed instantly on Apple Wallet). Anyone had experience on how long that will take?

I also registered an ANZ Amex - I received the registration confirmation, spent at 2 stores displaying a shop small and save sticker in the front window but didn't get the email as I have in the past with direct Amex.

Neither credit has shown up yet

I don't think you can rely on the sticker in the window. Check to see if the stores are listed on the shop small website and if so contact Amex.

I knew one was/is - the other I was walking past and noticed the sign and on checking is not listed

I see the T&C's say up to 90 days;

Credit is normally issuedwithin 5 business days of the eligible spend; however, depending on theMerchant, it could take up to 90 days from the end date of the campaign toappear in your account.

I wouldn't wait any longer - just contact Amex now for the one that is listed and they will post the credit pretty quickly.
