I highly recommend setting aside an hour after checking the bags in to go to the onsen at the hotel in the Airport Garden complex attached to Terminal 3. It's around 4800 yen but worth it for the sleep you'll get on the flight. You can't take cabin bags up to onsen which is on the top floor of the hotel but you can put them into luggage storage at the information desk near the hotel entrance.
The Villa Fontaine also does day use rooms at a reasonable cost, and onsen access only costs and additional 2000 yen for hotel guests.
If travelling in a pair I think the day use room + 2 pax onsen access is not much more than buying onsen access for 2 non-guests. The upside being you can just leave all your luggage in the room.
Thanks for that information. I have a 10pm departure tonight and I checked availability for today. A day room for 8 hours with onsen access was AUD80 more than just getting an onsen ticket and checking bags in at the info desk. That's a good deal.

Just out of interest... is anyone aware whether TIAT Lounge at T3 Haneda is still operating or will reopen in the near future? Google says temporarily closed, but cannot find any details about it...

Any paid lounge recommendations if I don’t have OW access? 6 hour transit at the airport and can’t shop the whole time with 8 pax of which 4 kids. Is Villa Fontaine the best option? It's open per the Haneda airport website.

I'm trying to book a day room for early May, can we not do this in advance? Their website is driving me crazy![]()
Perhaps start a new thread. It's off topic for this oneAny paid lounge recommendations if I don’t have OW access? 6 hour transit at the airport and can’t shop the whole time with 8 pax of which 4 kids. Is Villa Fontaine the best option?
I found the link in English but no openings yet.You can definitely book day use rooms in advance, but I can't see how/where on their English website.
Here is the Japanese link if you want to give it a crack using Google Translate - they have a 4 hour and 8 hour option.
Alternatively it may be easier to just contact the hotel via phone or email.

Yes. That's my issue. 2nd May. Golden Week. We are on a cruise ship and have booked cruise transport to the airport. We will need to have done a last night cruise pack the night before (you lose main luggage the last night) and we get to airport at 12.30pm for the 7.30pm departure. We will want to change clothes and repack so was looking forward to the private space to do that and try out the onsen, then checkin in luggage. We can use F lounge but it's the repack of luggage for the flight that's the problem. What's your exact date in early May? It might also be booked out and/or blocked from booking due to Golden Week... (be prepared for all public transport to be packed to the rafters)
I flew QF60 (HND-SYD) this week. (10:00pm departure). The desks open at 6:00pm precisely, check-in point 'H'. There are self check-in auto kiosks, which will open precisely at 5:45pm. Machine readable passport facility for check-in, boarding pass and checked luggage printouts for baggage labelling. But then you still have to line up to drop off your labelled baggage at counters that open at 6:00pm. Went to JAL 1st lounge by 6:30pm, only about 18 guests in a very expansive lounge. Thanks all. I ended up shopping. Will leave for airport shortly. Probably arrive at 6.30pm. Should be good to drop bags then.

No not private but a group unfortunatelyIs this private transport? Could they drop you at one of the many other hotels near the airport? Then you could cab/train to T3 at minimal extra cost.
On the same note, we are heading to Japan next Sunday and return back to Aus on 1 May. Qantas have kindly moved us to a 6:55am departure from Haneda so what is the earliest and or/recommended check in time for the early flights? Anyone done the same recently?Interesting info, but none of this is related to 'earliest Qantas Haneda check-in time'
Yeah it is. If unable to check in early then what do you do to fill in the time if you have to arrive early and have luggage.Interesting info, but none of this is related to 'earliest Qantas Haneda check-in time'
