Earliest Qantas Haneda Check-In Time?

On the same note, we are heading to Japan next Sunday and return back to Aus on 1 May. Qantas have kindly moved us to a 6:55am departure from Haneda so what is the earliest and or/recommended check in time for the early flights? Anyone done the same recently?

I'm going to book a car transfer as the bus train options seem a bit light on at that hour (staying Shinjuku).
Move to Fontaine grand premier at Haneda the night before. Leave your room at 5 or even 5.15am and breeze through with a bit more sleep and no expensive private transfer.

That would make sense but we've only got the 2 nights at the back end in Tokyo so would rather maximise time there. Will be tired but can rest in the air.

Not too worried about the cost of transfer, more the time we'd need to get there. But assume 5:15 would be ok for a 6:55 flight?

I'm in the same situation with 2 nights on the back end of Tokyo next month.

I booked into Hotel Villa Fontaine to save myself the hassle of getting transfers to the airport.

I acknowledge that my view will be different to others !

My 2 nights in Shinjuku are booked and paid with no cancellation. I got them for a great price early on and to rebook now will cost more than double! Hotel prices are crazy

After my recent Japanese cruise, I also had 2 nights post cruise. I caught cruise-line bus (with 4h tour optional) direct to HND T3. Stayed 2 nights at the other T3 hotel 'The Royal Park Hotel Haneda-T3' (not to be confused with the 'Royal Park Hotel' in Tokyo); note the capital 'T' in 'The' of the HND-T3 hotel.

This hotel is 50m from check-in point 'H' compared to Villa Fontaine, about 5-600m walk. I found the Villa Fontaine web site confusing. I booked with QF-hotels utilising AU$50 voucher, making it cheaper than direct booking.
For my 10:00pm QF60 departure, I checked out ~10:00am with included breakfast, left luggage in hotel storage, returned at 5:30pm to go to check-in. After day viewing cherry blossom at Ueno, caught train (Keikyu Line, KK for short) back to HND T3, frequency every ~8min, using the last of Suica Card (IC card).

5:15 is plenty, the airport is very very quiet at that hour and security and passport control are very quick.

I assume you mean checking in at 5:15 and not leaving Shinjuku. In which case yes that would be fine.

Just note that hardly anything is open at the airport (including the lounges). I wouldn't dilly dally around too long outside though as it starts getting busy around 6 onwards.
