Early check in EK431 BNE International

Hi all, we are on EK431 BNE-DXB departing 01:55 on the Tuesday 6th May. Given the early morning departure we will head to Brisbane on Monday afternoon where we will have dinner with our son and DIL, before heading to the airport around 20:00 (or earlier if need be). There is an earlier EK flight EK435 departing at 21:00 with check in (I assume) opening at 18:00. My questions are:-

• Will the check in counter close with the EK 435 departure at 21:00 and reopen later for the EK431 departure or will it remain open.
• If it closes is this normally 60 or 90 minutes prior to departure
• Will we be able to check in for our EK431 flight when check in opens for EK435

I know we can do OLCI but we will have checked baggage so will need to do a bag drop. Flights are booked with QFF points and we are in J if that makes any difference.
