Early guest access to Virgin Lounge

My girlfriend and I are flying Virgin Melbourne to Hobart in a couple of days.

Were each flying to Melbourne airport from a different origin, meeting there, and then taking the next flight together.

Now, I have lounge access and she has zero status so will be coming in as my guest....

Thing is I'll be arriving at the airport 30-45 minutes after she is and was thinking it might be nice if she could just access the lounge straight away rather than having to skulk in the public parts of the airport waiting for me to arrive.

Does anybody have any experience as to whether it would be possible for her to enter the lounge as my guest BEFORE I get there?

My experience is that the lounge managers can be quite accommodating.

The numbers for the lounges are listed on the VA website, I'd give them a call, explain the situation and ask if they can let her in. I'd be surprised if they said no.
