Anyone got this card and managed to get their annual fee reduced for subsequent years? My first year is just about up!

Had it a couple years and no luck on having fee refunded each year. With the free flight included, it makes it justifiable anyway.

Yeah fair enough. Wouldn't expect to get it fully refunded, but anyone have any luck getting it reduced at least? Considering moving across to the Platinum Edge.

The Edge works well for us particularly with Local Champion and a big supermarket spend. Recoup the annual fee with statement credit offers even before the free flight

I must say I am quite surprised at the amount of useful credit offers that Ive received. In about 2 months I've had credits of about $150 applied to my card. i'm sure this has spiked because of Christmas, but still certainly better than nothing. thanks Amex
