My points took 2 days to come through - don't know how they matched up my details, but obviously it can work without providing the membership number

mine came through today as well (pretty sure I checked this morning and they weren't there, but are now)

I got em too...only signed up yesterday!

Just wondering if everyone that received the 1000 points all also received the email? I've looked but did not receive the email :( just wondering if it's worth signing up for without the email. (i.e will I get the points? ;) )

Received one account but not the other!!

Have signed up but there is no where to put your Velocity membership number. Also doesn't appear to be any promotion on the AusPost or Velocity websites through which you can link to via your velocity account. Have I missed something?

Points credited yesterday. Turns out I didn't miss a thing :D

Many thanks, points showed up today for both of us and hubby signed up on Friday. :)

Such a promotion doesn't surprise me.

The take up of the 'digital mailbox' has been below expectations and they are really trying to get people register and use it.

They are even forcing those eligible for the cheaper concession (60¢) stamps to sign up before they can obtain said stamps.
Receive all your bills online and generally pay them without credit card?

So in essence a $130 water bill will earn 50 Velocity points or I can pay with Amex and earn 130 MR points which I can then transfer to Velocity when the 10%-25% promotion is on.

I don't think I will even bother to sign up.

Signed up yesterday, no points yet. Also I cant pay any of my bills through the system anyway, so I'll never use it.

Hmmm. 1000 point bonus to sign up = 6 or 7 water bills. Seems like a no brainer to me (you don't even need to use it). But each to their own.

That signup process seemed pretty painless. So it's just entering in your details and then validating the link that comes through your email? That's it?

since alot of people are asking similar questions about this bonus 1000 points I thought I would pass on the following information.

Called both Velocity and Aust Post today for clarification and both confirmed the same information

- Offer of 1000 points is open to any velocity member who signs up for digital mailbox between June 6 and July 6

- You do not enter your FF number

- Only requirement is First Name, Last Name and Email must be a 100% match to velocity account details

- Points credited within 3-5 business days

- Velocity and Aust Post data match the name and FF number provided automatically

hope this assists

Could this be similar to Qantas cash where a better offer comes along for joining later?

Given VFF can't even manage to send me an email, I don't hold much hope for them being able to compare with Aus Post, but I'll give it a go for a laugh.

I didn't get the email, but signed up using the link here. Got the 1000 points in two days. :)

So I signed up, never one to let 'free' points slip by :)

Got to say though, its a pretty sloppy campaign from AusPost here. I don't see any mention of these 'free' sign-up points anywhere in the online docs on either the VFF site or the AusPost one. Clicking on the link at VFF or going direct to the Auspost site gives very little information on this service, and there is apparently no way to get more info (aside from the T&C) as all the various buttons and links simply take the customer off to the sign-up page with no further ado.

Sign-up points aside, I cant seem to find any particularly good reason for this product to even exist.
