Earning points in codeshare flights

Does this mean that a codeshare flight SYD-SGG which is on jetstar, but has a QF flight number if i book it as one ticket from MEL (with QF connection) will earn points and SC's as any other QF flight would? There is also this situation with flights MEL - SFF operated by Vietnames Airlines having QF numbers, i assume these too earn in the same manner? this appears to mean that jetsaver v. jetflex fares are no longer relevant if it is a codeshare with QF number?

Yes, if you are ticketed on the QF flight number, then you earn the Status Credits and FF points as per any QF flight.

Am i right to assume that to get points & SC's on these cheap fares (red edeals) i am best to go with these codeshares rather than flying with CX on a L fare which i gather only earns 0.5 pts per mile?

Note that when travelling JQi on QF codeshare flight number you get earphones, a blanket, meals and "A drink with your meal" included. No comforter pack. (Although I did notice a report where drinks were complimentary throughout a HNL flight recently for QF PAX).
