Earning Qantas points from New Zealand

Given todays announcement of NZ Everyday Rewards being able to credit to QF from 02 Dec, a moot point. And at a better rate than AU EDR.
Interesting point, I read the headline thinking just NZ would be the transfer partner there. But at 2000 NZ Rewards points to 1,500 Qantas points that is indeed a much better offer than we’re getting here in AU. Which begs the question: what is the earn rate for NZ issued cards when shopping in AU? If it remains 1 to 1 then it can be a particularly good offer, especially with the regular 20x bonus points on gift cards over here.

The topic of this thread is "Earning Qantas points from New Zealand".

Now that it has been established QF points can be obtained from Woolworths Everyday Rewards NZ (from 02 Dec), questions on the fine details on the EDR schemes best asked in the WW EDR threads
Will answer your question in the "Everyday Rewards can now be earned for Woolies spends in both Australia and New Zealand" thread.

QFF newsroom QANTAS SUPERCHARGES FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAM FOR KIWIS IN MAJOR EXPANSION

Has been easy to join QF ffp without a fee in NZ & AU for a long time. The joining fee should be dumped. My understand the fee only applied in AU & NZ: not elsewhere in the world.
  • Kiwis to earn more Qantas Points from everyday shopping on the ground
  • New Zealand members of other airline programs invited to fast track their status with Qantas
  • Frequent Flyer program join fee to be waived for New Zealand residents
Qantas is making it easier for Kiwis to boost their points balance and book their next holiday, faster than ever before, with the expansion of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program in New Zealand.

From 2 December, Qantas Frequent Flyers will be able to convert their Everyday Rewards points into Qantas Points. Everyday Rewards points can be earned on purchases made at hundreds of Woolworths supermarkets, bp petrol stations, Petstock stores and other retailers across New Zealand. Kiwis will also earn 50 per cent more Qantas Points than their trans-Tasman neighbours when converting with Everyday Rewards.
