Hi All

I am intending to book ADL - DEL on MH on 28 Jan returning 6 Feb.

Noting that MAS is joing OneWorld Alliance on 1 Feb, I assume I'll still be able to collect QF Status credits on the way home (but obviously not on the way over)? Does anyone know if this is the case (or not)?

Am slightly nervous that there is some 'rider' clause that the whole ticket must be booked for post 1 Feb travel in order to obtain QF SCs...

I have a little one (baby) this year so am down on my usual flying and need another 120 SCs before 28 Feb to retain WP. Have another int'l J flight booked for 7 March but that won't work for me either!

Many thanks for your thoughts in advance!

Usually, there aren't such clauses, however, there is no information as yet as to which booking classes will be eligible for points/status.

I hope they start releasing some information soon about it as I to book a trip to KL some time around the end of Jan returning early Feb, and would like to know some details, as it would be a lot easier to go direct rather then an overnight in Sin, since it is the same SC's SYD-SIN or SYD-KUL, as the SIN-KUL flight mightn't earn anything.

Info still had not been released for Kingfisher 7 days out from the anointed date (that it never made)

As a rough guide, currently all MH First and Business class earn Enrich Miles at 2x and 1.5x miles flown respectively, and all Economy class fares earn Enrich miles ranging from 0.5 to 1.25 miles flown so I expect that all MH fares will earn SCs based on the current QF chart for partner airlines:
Enrich - Earn Enrich Miles - Malaysia Airlines | Malaysia Airlines

YMMV of course!

OP, just ensure you keep all your boarding passes, as MH sometimes have issues with points and credits posting at the best of times. And if you have a Kris Flyer account, ensure your QF status is updated when you check in also (double check this), otherwise you'll have no hope of getting the points/credits to QF.

Definitely keep all your MH boarding passes. The crediting of miles/points is incredibly unreliable! I can foresee a lot of complaints post Feb 1 that points from an MH flight aren't crediting to QFF.

I dusted off my old Enrich account after 5 years of no use just to have a look around to see what it looks like these days, I noticed in the missing points claim for partner airlines, it has all the Oneworld airlines listed including QF. Have they always been here? Or maybe they're added ready for 1st Feb...

Interesting!
