Earning Velocity points with BP

So family member went to use velocity card and did not work in BP, given a temp card and points on that. How long do you have to contact velocity to get the points from temp card into account and finally why velocity card not working?
Edit: Seems you have 30 days to get into account.

Had a old card not work for some reason. Maybe age, maybe magnetic strip, maybe card outdated... Who knows. Virgin sent a new card.

I've now started filling up our family car on our personal CC and my company car on my business CC (plus swiping my Velocity card of course) to get more points and hoping that some bonus offers come - but the only offer I had lately was a bonus offer for their in-store spend and I was away for the 4 days of the offer.

Does anyone know of a winner from any of these velocity points comps?

I didn't receive it and I fill up at BP 2x/week.. then again I don't get many off VA's email.

Seems to be targeted? Mr Jurahn (who fills up at BP regularly) received the offer, I didn't but I rarely go to BP as it's usually more expensive than other retailers in our area.

Aaaaaand no it's not - just saw an ad on Channel 7 for the promotion, so appears it's open to all.
