Hi all,

Currently planning our next trip, and I'm approximately 25,000 points short of what I require.
Wondering what the quickest and easiest way would be to obtain this amount of points?

I have had a look but it doesn't seem that Velocity allow one to purchase points??

Regards
Chris
:p

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

You can purchase Priority Club points and transfer them but i'm not sure how long the transfer takes to go through.

Out of curiosity, what trip are you planning as there may be some ways of picking up one or more legs cheaper than the points.

Find a relative with 25K points..this can be TFed to your account immediately!

I think the Foxtel deal is still going, 30K points for signing up to a 12 month contract ( min $640 cost)
I know that some people ( myself included) have had success with this even as existing subscribers out of contract.

Thanks for the all the advice.
If I had a relative with enough points that would be a great option, however at this point it appears that the Foxtel deal might be the best way to go.
Cheers.

Good luck, in my case it was money (points) for jam as I was already paying Foxtel anyway

How painless was the Foxtel promo?

Not very, a "cancel my Foxtel " phone call, then offered to recontract if I got the Velocity points, followed by a couple of phone calls to chase up the points.
Turns out my Foxtel name and Velocity name were different which did account for some of the delay

I would assume moving to new premises that were not suitable for foxtel would be suitable grounds for a termination of contract without fee? :)

Buy something you need from the Global eStore? And wait 12 months for the points.. :D

SPG.com is offering a 20% discount when buying points but today is the last day to make the purchase.

Don't think you can transfer to velocity though, well I couldn't find them in the list when I looked at transferring some points.
