EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Got the new card in the mail today but I am now quite perplexed.
The associated packing and booklets cleary state that use of the new card will mean that I have accepted the terms and conditions of Woolworths Rewards, yet as mentioned above my new card has the same barcode and account number as my old EDR card.
So now I am wondering if I can spend the next 2 months double dipping QFF points and Woolworths dollars for the same spend.

That will all end on the 31st of December. No Frequent Flyer points = No interest.
Although I don't think much of Fly Buys, some EY points are much better than no QFF points

Got my new card today, the letter said using either the old or new card "from today" (the letter was undated) constitutes acceptance of the new T&Cs. Also that Qantas points are still earnt until 31 December.

I won't be using the new card, or the old card - I used a label printer at work to stick the barcode on the back of my AMEX. It occasionally confuses checkout operators but I've never had a problem.

Hint: After having the barcode wear off of the first card I had, with the second I placed a piece of clear sticky tape over the barcode. Absolutely necessary with the key ring versions.

The local co-operative (IGA associated) figured it out as well. They printed their own cards and inserted them into a plastic pocket and sealed it. Likely less expensive for them and immediately the cards stopped "wearing out".

Happy wandering

Excellent tip! My key ring tag was quickly rendered unusable, the barcode wore off in no time, so will have to remember the tape for the next one.

I can't see how it would make any difference which card you used, old or new, since the number and barcode are identical. All that's changed is the branding.

Personally, I'm sticking with my old keyring card, since I find it more convenient. The new card has been filed with a bunch of other cards I only put in my wallet as necessary. (Said pile is currently 27mm thick.)

so you're literally 'sitting high on the hog!'

The four remaining cards arrived today - feel sorry for the posties with having to put in the spam and WoW cards and normal mail.

Good business model for Aust Post (I wonder if the profit for physical spamming are booked elsewhere?) with postie having to deliver real estate advertising material to every letter box. Last week they had three different brochures to deliver.

Two of our four cards arrived today. Both were the kids cards. No method in the madness as their father has the same surname and his didn't arrive!
