Has anyone booked with this online agency called eDreams? Their prices are very attractive especially intra Europe, but how reliable are their services?

I wondered this also when looking at intra Europe flights. I couldn't find any positive experiences with them. I've only seen bad reviews of them, a quick google search brings up all sorts of disaster booking errors and poor customer service.

Though you can read the same kind of reviews about Expedia and I have only had great service from them with no issues.

Friends used e-dreams a couple of years ago, much to their regret. Not sure if they ended up financially disadvantaged but the company was extremely difficult to deal with and they would not touch them with a barge pole now. I will post more detail if I can get it. I certainly would not go anywhere near them.

I use edreams all the time for Europe flights and never had an issue (infact just booked an FLR-Seville flight today on there. An Italian friend here in FLR put me on to them (even on long haul), she uses them for everything. Admittedly I only use them for simple point to point or return intra Europe flights, and always at the very last minute. Find they have the best rates, and their booking engine will also tell you if return fares are cheaper on a city pair than a one way, and then you can just bin the return. Admittedly as my stuff is simple and last minute Ive never had the need to call them and require them to change anything, but for basic itineraries stuff no hesitation in recommending the site.

Pity no more responses on these guys.
Are pricing up substantially cheaper than other sources (based on skyscanner) for SYD-BKK including on the EK shares.

After reading more I think I will pass.
Australian website with Aussie pricing is au.edreams.com
but seems that the price changes every few minutes.

I would suggest you take a cup of English or Irish tea while searching, legitimate options coming up cheaper by AUD$40 through better known names (AUD$697 return to BKK for instance ex BNE in May with the English Breakfast).

Is that 50 Australian customers with 3 decimal places?

I booked flights for Istanbul to Santorini with edreams this July. I can find the flights on checkmytrip just fine. They don't show up in Olympic airways though, but then, my flights booked through Virgin with SQ dont show up on SQ website either.

I used eDreams last year for a trip up to SIN. Not an issue with the booking or the trip. The booking was showing on the QF website within minutes.

they were huge in the UK when i lived there back around 2005, knew a lot of people who booked with them. i wouldnt have an issue buying from them if the price was right.

I am thinking of booking through edreams, before I do that I would like the eDreams team to clarify a couple of questions:

- Is there an email address that I can use to contact eDreams instead of telephone.
- How long the eticket will be issued after a confirmation of booking is sent out.

Thank you.

I used edreams and received the ticket within a few hours. There is an email address and they respond quite quickly. The booking also showed up in 'checkmytrip'.

Is eDreams one to avoid as well?

I can see some people have had issues but surely the majority are OK otherwise they would not be in business?

I guess one can say the same for Flight Centre but they are still popular.

I made 10 separate bookings through them last year after I bought a bunch of eDreams.ch gift vouchers from Groupon (deal was CHF49 for a CHF160 voucher). I didn't run into any issues -- all flights were ticketed very quickly after booking -- and I never needed to contact them for support.

That said, they wouldn't be my first choice for an OTA -- particularly with their unwieldy website -- and I'd only use them again if there was a compelling reason to do so. :)

I have used edreams in the past 12-24 months, for two intra-europe flights, and have had no issues. Will I do it again? Yeah, why not especially if their price comes out lower than other OTAs.

I just checked edreams and our KEF-MUC flights would be £7 pp cheaper than booking direct with Iceland Air.
Decisions, decisions...

I've always been wary of the cheapest results shown in aggregators (e.g. kayak, skyscanner, iwantthatflight) offering prices well below what the airline is charging. These OTAs - such as edreams, opodo (apparently a clone of edreams) and cheapoair - typically have a bad rep in terms of increasing the price, unreasonable change fees, great difficulty contacting them and lack of customer service if things go awry.

So it's still a bit of a mystery as to why I recently chose to make a booking through edreams. Price was obviously a factor, since they offered an intra-Asia fare for approximately half what it would have cost directly through the Scoot website, but I've routinely ignored such amazing bargains previously and paid a much higher price to the airline.

Anyhow, here's my booking experience. The aggregator price was honoured, so I proceeded, with some trepidation.

"Choose the service package that best suits your needs" - Basic is nothing, or you can pay extra for Standard which includes destination weather report, "Boarding pass request" and "Personalised mobile site". Premium costs a little bit more again and adds SMS booking confirmation, SMS flight notifications and "Preferential customer service" :)

The payment method fees ... well. The booking webpage said Visa credit attracts a fee, while Visa debit, MasterCard credit and MasterCard debit don't. Additionally, PayPal has an AU$0.00 fee. Except when I tried to pay, MasterCard credit attracts a fee, PayPal attracts a fee, and Visa credit doesn't!

Just in case the booking website was buggy, I went through the process anew (the fare increased by eleven cents) but same thing. So I paid using Visa credit with no fee.

eDreams confirmation came through instantly and, pleasingly, a Scoot confirmation email followed very shortly after (same PNR).

The transaction showed on my card as the correct amount. However, since it was EDREAMS BARCELONA ES, it came as no surprise to be hit with the foreign currency transaction fee, despite being edreams.com.au and charged in AU$.

Interestingly, the Scoot confirmation shows the amount paid as exactly the full regular price it would have cost booking through their website (and that it was paid by a MasterCard). My contact details are correct except country is Singapore and postcode is 000000.

So far so good in any event. I'm not anticipating any issues with taking the flight but have fallback options if something happens to go wrong. And if there are no problems then I'd certainly use eDreams again for basic point-to-point.

One or two days after making the booking, aggregators had SIN-KUL fares for AU$3 via eDreams/Opodo, but I didn't click through to see if they were legit.

I always like to know where the registered office as well.
