Wasn't really sure which was the shortest way back to the apartment but used my homing skills. Passed the Argentina Embassy with colour coordinated gardens.
Knew I was heading in the right direction when I began seeing the Flower decorations.
Fortunately passed by a Waitrose to pick up some fruit for dinner. About 100 metres from there came across the Cadogan Gardens with Sloane Street running alongside one side of them.
On our last day in London we took it easy. Mrsdrron's back was slowly improving but discretion is the better option. So we decided on an early lunch. We booked at Carrafini just around the corner. We booked for 1215 but thought it opened at 12 which virtually all nearby restaurants did. but 1215 was when it opened so did a little window shopping. Some on here might like this.
Back to the restaurant and seated immediately. About 30 minutes later it was full mainly with people who had spent the morning at the Flower show. Forgot the menu shots. We both started with the Carpaccio which was very good.
Mrsdrron then had the spinach ravioli which she enjoyed.
I had the octopus with chilli and garlic which was delicious.
We ordered 2 desserts because Mrsdrron couldn't decide which she preferred between the pannacotta and creme caramel. She thought the pannacotta was excellent.
I had ordered the cheese plate but got to have some of the creme caramel as well.
The cheeses were nice.
So with a bottle of an Italian pinot grigio the bill was 143 GBP. Thought it good value and the service was excellent.
Again after a post lunch nap i went off for a walk heading towards the Battersea Power Station. As I got to the Thames I noted an old chimney to my left so detoured to sea what it was. I came to the Grosvenor Canal that enters the Thames.
The water birds liked the little backwater
Walked a little further and found the chimney. Not sure what it did.
Then walked back to cross the Chelsea bridge.
Views to the railway bridge and the power station.
