On offer is a genuine Tumi Kirkland carry on see photo. It is the international carry on and can be expanded by about 2”. It is about 2.5 years old in very good condition with the usual scuffs on the back from overhead bins and a few other marks. I think it has only been checked once or twice. It is still under warranty however I am not sure if it is transferable, a copy of the receipt can be provided. It is surplus to requirements, taking up space and MrsM struggles with my luggage collection issues.

The offer is open to everyone who as been a member for at least 3 months and 25 posts.

As this is not as small as most items I give away the only rules I have is that the new owner is to pay for packaging and postage at cost. These are some other conditions so please read:
  • Pick up from ADL can be accommodated - agreed time.
  • Pick up from MEL can be accommodated - agreed time
  • Pick up at either ADL or MEL airport can be accommodated however you will need to fit in with my schedule. It may seem selfish but I will not wait around for people to arrive and ask to collect it from drop off points so they do not have to pay parking, or ask me to meet them at a location that suits themselves. It is these types of requests that saw me stop using eBay.
  • It is currently embossed with my initials, the Tumi store in Melbourne has given me a new tag that you can get embossed with your initials. You need to go to a Tumi store in your location.
  • Postage to any location is at the new owners expense and also will need to work in with my travel schedule i.e. it will be posted when I can get to a post office.
  • Do ask me to arrange to get quotes postage; it has a linear size of 115cm (22”x14”x9” inch) and is about 4kg. Add some packing material so work on around 5-6kg however the new owner will have to pay the total shipping be it Aus Post liner or weight costs prior to me sending.
So in the interests of not just putting your hand up just post a picture of your favourite travel photo/ destination. One of the reasons I ask for a photo is it gives MrsM and MissM some inspiration to visit places they may not consider going to.

I will leave the thread open for a week or so and I will ask MrsM and MissM agree on which response they like the best and that will be the winner. Simple.

Also please do not send a PM asking if you can just have it, offering to give money to a charity etc. I will not respond to a PM and offering to give to charity will not increase your chances.

Best of luck.

@Matt_01 another generous offer (especially with the embossing), and I'd love it, but hubby already collects luggage that he never puts away, and someone has to draw the line on that! I hope the new owner appreciates its worth. :)

We enjoyed Taiwan not the food or the cities but their national park - Taroko Park. We walked around the many trails and stayed at the - Silks Place Taroko Hotel, right in the centre of the park. People claim it’s better then the Grand Canyon ( but we haven’t been so can’t compare)

Hello,

Sorry to do this to you @Freq Flier 2013 and the wider community however I am closing this offer. Someone I know quite well and who I had previously offered the bag too has asked if it still available.

I will find some more "free stuff" but unfortunately it will not be this Tumi bag.

 Thought there was going to be a riot from the stampede for a moment.
