I've been trying to search from some availability on EK using QF points from DXB to AU ports but keep getting the below error.

Does anyone know if there are any work arounds or tips and tricks to find availability from DXB to AU ports using QF points

There are none. You can try searching using the multi city tool but you will likely yield the same result.

QF awards have to be the lowest level and currently EK mainly have higher level Flex awards.

You'll have more luck to and from DXB from other ports.

I think reward bookings can be searched ex-AU only. So try searching return AU port of your choice & DXB. If you find seats in the return leg, then call up customer care to book that leg.

I had issues with this too and eventually gave up, I managed to get flights from Rome to Dubai (EK) and took them instead. I've since heard this is a known error and you have to call the call centre for assistance.....

There is an error with the Qantas website when you try to search for flights ex DXB.

A workaround is to use the multi-city tool and search for the flight you want ex DXB as Flight 2. You may need to call up to book though if you want to book a ticket originating in Dubai. (Or, book another flight that you intend to use on the same ticket as Flight 1.)

I can see some availability right now ex DXB to Australia, e.g. there are some F seats available on DXB-PER in May/June 2023. Beware the carrier charges, though...

Does anyone know when EK seats are actually available to book on QFF?
EK release seats at 330 days supposedly but searching QFF shows seats available earlier than this.

QFF shows EK availability MEL - SIN at 353 days. Is this Phantom availability?

Not game to actually book it to see…
