EK vaccination requirement

Hi I’ve checked the website already and some previous posts but my friend is quite desperate and wants him to feel reassured.

My friend has a family emergency and has to fly to Venice this Saturday. He has booked the EK flights from Sydney to Venice via Dubai. All flights operated by Emirates.

Just wondering if they will check proof of vaccination upon check-in.

According to the Emirates website there are no vaccination requirements for either Italy or transit in UAE: Health Vaccination Information | Health Vaccination Information | Emirates Australia

However, that being said, some checkin staff are still asking for proof of vaccination, even if not required. Best to carry a copy of it just in case.

Emirates has never had a vaccination requirement for travel on any of their services.

Similarly there has never been any restrictions for transits in Dubai.

In say that at check in they will check that your destination (in this case Italy) does not have entry requirements. Any at time of writing Italy does not.

Flew into the UK with emirates via Dubai, nobody asked for vaccination certificate. Been to France, Switzerland and Italy, again, nobody asked.

I don't think there are any restrictions in place any more.

I did get messed up by their requirement for a negative pcr back in Jan as I was well over the illness and negative on RATs but positive on PCR still, had to change from first class EK to economy Jetstar ......

not a happy bunny.

not sure on their pcr / rat requirements but far as i know they have always said 'whatever you need at your destination' in regard to vaccinations.
