Email from VA says flight will be operated by Alliance

I got put through ADL - MEL - SYD, a few months ago, Dec last year.
I had booked J ADL - SYD, but immediately, that night before the flight, I got a SMS, your flight has changed.
I was already at ADL airport, at the Atura.
Had already have my ADL - SYD BP pre printed.
I was not too pleased, thinking I would be relegated to Y somewhere, but in the end, both flights were the 737-800 with a J cabin, and got the SC for ADL - MEL - SYD.
Got to see T3+T4 at Tulla after the conjoined upgrade too.
Granted, I did not get the Alliance F100 for this flight I took, (but have travelled on an F100 in the past PER - ADL), in Y down the back near the engines!
Indirect route, if there is a J, and you got the J seat, they should issue with J SC, even on an indirect route.
If no J, ie, plane has changed from a 737-800 to 320/737-700 without a J, and you had paid for J in the booking process, claim OCR with VA.
In the past, we knew when there was no J, ie on their small planes, but now, its harder.
Ie, Link has no J, and if your flight gets swapped to a 320/737-700 the night before, also thus no J.
At the least you can claim OCR, and VA only has the MNL based call center, not sure if they still have their BNE one for VFF WP, maybe they still do, post covid.

But I've been one of those Alliance aircrafts and the interior was like ancient
Yes, they are old, tired, and akin to some Russian carriers I have flown on. Dead give away are duct tape visible on parts of interior fabric of plane like overhead lockers, panels etc. worn out signage on seats, inoperative seat functions etc. That has been my only experience of Alliance, when I have been reassigned by Virgin.
