Emerald access to Arrivals lounges at LHR [Transatlantic]

bump !
Has anyone accessed the BA Arrivals Lounge in T5 after landing in T3 as WP/OWE flying QF J ? (Trying to fit a few more acronyms in there but I ran out of steam ;) )
I have been to the AA Lounge but never the BA Lounge and a spa treatment sounds fab after a long flight.

If you can remember back that far, PF, how did you get on with access to the T5 Arrivals Lounge, having landed at T3?
Would be interested in trying it but have never come up with the right combination of factors - eg, arrival during the limited opening hours, sufficient transit time before onward flight from LHR, two of us travelling in different cabins, etc etc.
Still keen to give it a go - and retain fond memories of many visits to the long-departed T4 Arrivals Lounge.
[Yes, I know the AA Lounge but would also like to sample the T5 BA version.]

Pagingjoan, I would add that while nice the BA arrivals is not that much nicer than AA to make up for the T3-T5 transfer. I only did it as I was meeting someone flying into T5.

Thanks for that, moa999.
Very useful input.
We have several flights into LHR coming up, with some of them continuing on from T5, and one terminating in London, at least for a while before flying on.
So your recent experience is relevant on both counts.

If continuing you are far better remaining airside and going to the real lounges in T5.
Arrivals use is for a shower and real breakfast for morning flights before heading into the city.

Didn't go on that occasion. Am travelling to LHR again, March 12th on QF (J). If not too tired may attempt it, otherwise will stick to AA.
I'll report back if I do wander over to T5.

Yes, I understand all of that. But depends on the transit time - and also the complications around shower access if using the First lounge in T5.
And then there is the "challenge" of ever managing to line up the ducks for T5 Arrivals access. :)

Thanks for the response. Will await the March experience. We've just cancelled a March trip, so you will be ahead of me for the T5 experiment.
