Has the J catering dropped in quality recently?

I have had two J flights (one ex Dubai and one ex Mel) and most of the food was disappointing. Breakfast very unappealing, beef very tough and snack (risotto balls) basically inedible. Flip side, wine selection was good... Filled myself up on rye and pastrami rolls and chicken and rice served in at the bar.

I had no issues with emirates in June and August, flying to the UK and back. It might be random.

I don’t think their J food has ever been outstanding. It’s decent enough without ever blowing me away but I’ve never had a bad meal. I do think other airlines have better offerings though
