Hi all,

Mrs mjgriffo and I are off to Auckland shortly, flying on the codeshare Emirates A380 out of Brisbane in Y, ticketed by QF. I've been searching through lounge access rules, but am yet to come up with a definitive answer - with QP membership, will we be able to access the Emirates lounge at BNE international?

Thanks in advance

You will be able to access the QF J lounge only. QP membership does not give you access to the EK lounges except at DXB.

Thanks guys.

Another question for anyone who knows - does Qantas open their check-in counters for QF8770? i.e. will I be able to check-in at a Qantas counter rather than having to do so at an EK one?

Cheers.

You need to check in with the operating carrier - so Emirates. You won't be able to check in at the QF counters.

Thanks Ewing, that was the answer I was expecting, but not the one I'd hoped for!

QF staff don't have access to EK's system to check you in as they are not the ground handler for EK. Checkin for any codeshare flight is always done by the airline on whose metal you're flying which in your case is EK. They generally use row 10 for checkin on the EK435 flight.

I think your out of luck on that one.

Lounge access is not available if you are travelling on flights operated by other carriers (including Emirates codeshare flights). Please visit the Qantas FAQs to find out more about access to Qantas Lounges

It's a strange setup as I will be able to Access the Emirates First Class lounge on my QF9 operated and coded flight with just the First class boarding pass and zero status.

Does anyone know what time in the morning outbound immigration opens in Brisbane?
