Emirates MEL-DUBAI-VIENNA power/charging?

Hi everyone, I am flying to Europe for the first time next week on an Emirates flight. A380 for the first leg, and B777 for the second.

Just wondering if anyone knows what to expect onboard when it comes to device charging, particularly AC power. Being able to plug my laptop in on a Qantas flight to the US has revolutionised trans-pacific travel, and I'm hoping to do the same - does anyone know if it's possible, and if so, what kind of AC plug will be on the plane? Do I need a converter or will my Australian plug work?

Sorry for these green questions - hopefully someone can advise. Any other advice or insights into flying this route is gladly welcomed also!

Cheers

Jared

Y or J?

I believe in Y it is one UK-type AC (three pin) outlet per bank of 3 seats. They typically have USB A ports also (not helpful for a laptop).

J had UK AC outlets at each seat

Avoid front row if you want power port as they are located in the "leg" of the chair in front.

Y! I'll make sure I have a UK-type adaptor.
Its not a "UK" style more a universal power socket (takes everything). Incidentally Qantas has the same plugs as well (just about every airline uses these that I've seen).

Also depending on whether you get a refurbished 777 or not, the USB C port on the new refurbished planes should be able to juice a laptop too.

Cool cool. I'll make sure I'm equipped for all possibilities!
