Good luck Madirish. Have a great time in Singapore. It is beautiful there. We could learn a lot about public transport from them. Clean efficient and cheap. Get a 3 day tourist pass from the station at the airport for $24 each. Will take you everywhere. great value.

Decided to double check the flights being offered at that crazy price. Went through to flight selection and it turns out it is the direct MEL-SIN or BNE-SIN that they want $9-10,000 in economy for!

What a weird way to run an airline. Who's going to pay $10k for an economy return direct to Singapore? Nobody, so the question is why have they priced them that way?

Three window seats each on way over and back essentaly lie flat bed due to carefull seat selection online.Large cointreau and Ice(100 ml each ) by 4 both ways and G + T for the wife the same, good food,fast efficient friendly service,cake supplied with "Happy anniversary" ,when we were departing,that was very tasty ,plenty of video choices and top facilities at both airports.........question is......who needs upgrades Had a great time in sing and KL/Genting Highlands.Complimentary upgrades to executive at Conrad Centennial that cost us $100 AUD through priceline, absolutely wonderful hotel we were treated like royalty by all and sundry.Free Champagne Brekkies and the Like.In Genting Highlands,Malaysia Maxims suites were true first class with proper coughtails and toiletries in a suede take away bag.Never seen a hotel room with so many little touches-even in the Movies....HIGHLY recommended.Got it for 25% (discount shareholder vouchers for Genting available on SG ebay for nominal fee) of normal $800 AUD which is an astronomical price for Malaysian standards where a 5 star stay in KL is the cheapest in Asia.Great to see how the other half live but also good to have it only on special occasions methinks The best part was,out of probably the 10,000+ people we passed in genting,we were the only "Western looking" people we seen.A truely remarkable experiance given this is a place that recently won the worlds best Casino resort awards.....AGAIN ! Must admit am a bit torn with letting out the secret but on balance feel I am obliged to those that help,enjoy the heads up but don't be too free with it pleaseIn all a truly Magnificent spur of the moment trip and thanks to all who gave their advice and best wishes in good spirit.
