Can anyone help please, QF call centre don't seem to know.
I am booked on a QF ticket at 2.30am BNE to SIN and will probably only have carry-on.
Dilemma is I want to get out to airport and into the lounge around 8pm - as GFF I know I can access either lounge
QF staff told me I can do online check in but I don't think that's correct ?? Can I check in at QF counter or do I have to wait for Emirates to open at 11.30pm ? cheers

I assume you are on EK metal? The EK lounge is open for the 9pm flight so you can access the lounge early for the 2:30 flight. You 'should' be able to checkin at the EK desk at 8 since it's open for the 9pm flight. Call EK if QF won't respond.

You'll have to go to the QF lounge first as the EK one closes from departure of the A380 flight until about 11.30 from memory. Hoping that info is still current...

I've done this flight (EK433) twice and EK will let you remain in the lounge if you're already there while it's still open for the earlier A380 departure.

While I have not done it, have heard from many this (Lounge access and usage outside of hours) is the done thing, that there is at least one staff on as a "minder" in the EK lounge from when EK435 departs at 9pm each night and EK432 arrives at 12:30am the following morning.

Also that a "minder" is in the lounge from when EK433 departs at 2:30am and EK435 arrives at 6:30am for people getting on EK435 to AKL that departs at 8:25am.

Thank you to all!! AIRwin and The RealTMA are correct . I am in lounge now and can advise the latest on what has happened . Yes if you get in before the 9pm flight leaves you can stay. There is a host / hostess who starts at 8ish and goes through to 2.30am There are 2 or 3 people here already . Plenty to drink but food takes a break until 11 ish . Beats the heck out of QP! they have offered to dim lights in a corner and bring blankets and do a wake up call.

Qantas web and some call centre staff just say no you cant web check in. What they don't tell you isd if you got to Emirates web site you can OLCI there! Thanks for the tip people I did that olci with my QF ticket on the emirates site ( yes its emirates metal) and breezed through no problems

Enjoy! They have quite good food in the EK lounge and very passable wines. I guess you will get two bites at the cherry, so to speak.:)

Happy to hear what I have been told by many before, is still the situation.

Now how to get bags checked it during EK435 check in to use lounge until EK433 departs at 2:30am..........

Agree with this. I once landed in from SIN on that late flight, probably around 00:30, and was flying on to AKL in the morning. We were welcomed in and slept in there comfortably. A few other pax were doing the same.

They did advise at the counter they were happy to accept Ek433 baggage early as well
