Looks like EK has just taken delivery of their first a350-900 and will have a event soon to show it off.

Will be interesting to see what they put in and where they'll fly this. I don't expect Australia to get it anytime soon, but we might see them use it for secondary cities here eventually.

First is Edinburgh followed by 8 other destinations including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kuwait, Bahrain, Colombo, Lyon, Muscat and Bologna, with more destinations to follow.

The same business class seat from 2008...
I reckon once all the 777-300 are updated at least EK's product will be extremely consistent. Its serviceable but not world leading and that's fine.

Some people prefer that over the plane lottery that QR can be sometimes.

I'm booked on this new a350 emirates up front from Lyon to Dubai next year. Was hoping it would be more like a Qatar Qsuite so this is somewhat disappointing. But still better than being Qatar'd with a last minute plane change which apparently is all too common.

Bit odd with all the time they had prior to delivery they didn’t nut out a closed suite or something.
Yeah kind of disappointed i actually booked to exit Lyon next July just to ride the new 350 biz class expecting it to be a whole new standard. I mean it’s still nice but not ground breaking.

I suspect they considered it and decided against it.

You have to remember that emirates runs an actual 4 service cabin and if J is too close to F then the reason for F becomes fewer.

Other airlines are actively trying to get rid of F and bumping their J up as a result.b
