Just testing whether the Emoji icons work here

This should be a smiley face

Not sure how non iOS users will see it.

Ah ok then might not be good to use them :(

You do get used to everyone you know being the same cult and easy to forget that there "others"

Mac OS Lion users should be able to see them, and there's a least one freely downloadable font that has support for some of the Emoji character set (though not all of them). Apologies for the lack of links, but a quick Google will find it for you!

I can see it as a smiley face on my iPad, fwiw.

MacOS and iOS I assume will have no problem. Those using AFF Mobile for iOS (iPod / iPad / iPhone) will probably see just fine.

On my PC laptop, all I see is a hex square.

On AFF Mobile for Android, not sure what one would see.

:D

I use them there to sort of distinguish posts I make on my iDevice as oppose to those on a regular computer, be it Mac or Windows.

I saw that emoji in the thread, but when quoting it, it reverts to a square, oddly.

Interestingly enough, the emoji in my signature from my iDevices I can never see properly on my Mac and I use Lion, but can always see them on an iPad or iPhone.
