Enrich now offering points+pay option for flight redemptions

It doesn't earn. All redemption tickets in J book into D at a minimum. It's part of their 'dynamic pricing' which allows much greater availability of tickets where you pay more for a redemption ticket in a higher fare bucket.

I recently flew J Brisbane to Paris using my wife's account for points+pay. A few weeks after the flight I used the "Claim Missing Miles" under my enrich account.... Got Credited the 15,000 odd enrich miles :)

I'm interested in the answer to this. I understand J cash + miles is booked into D class. Whilst MH says this is non-earning class for Enrich D class ordinarily earns for partner programs. If you insert your AA/QF number on one of these bookings would they know this D class booking is meant to be non-earning? Is there some other flag in the OW system other than fare class?

I don't think you'll be able to get the QF number in the booking.

I have tried that trick as well and the points don't come through.

Gotten both SCs and points but admittedly it was sometime ago.

Is it smart to advertise in public that you've got something you shouldn't get? Especially given Qantas' well known feelings about cheap status.

Just had a look at flights for Syd-CDG in J. Options of 1) points (1k)+cash = $3.5K or 2) 102K points + $1k taxes/surcharges. Wondering what you guys would do? Should I save my points for a rainy day as $3.5K return for Europe in J is pretty cheap in any language.

Comes down to points value for you. Can you get better redemption value than 250000c= 101000 points, or 2.47c/point? Also, the points aren't earning you any interest but the money will be, or saving you interest so the points value goes up a little further.

I tried to book exactly that route, however it wouldn't go through. Kept getting a random error message. MH never managed to resolve it... Flew VN.

Novice, i just flew MEL - CDG with MH. My suggestion would be to look at other airlines for amount of cash you are spending ($3.5k)

Perhaps look at some of the discussion on using SPG or American Airlines points to get a ticket with a better oneworld carrier like Cathay or Qantas/Emirates via one of their promotions for the same money or less.

Change the Enrich FF number to QFF number at check in:rolleyes:;)

Can anyone share how many enrich points (or other points) they got for a Aus - Europe or Aus to KL flight in business with MH?

As an elite level member, I get about 32000 miles from SYD to Europe return when flying in J. SYD to KL is a little over 12000 miles in J.

I agree but most of the one world carriers I looked at didn't have any available seats and the ones that did were MH. I did have plan B in place with SPG points trf to US Airways plus I bought the recent USDM bonus miles promotion.

What were your thoughts of the flight comfort? I understand the KL-CDG leg is on the A380, that's meant to be comfortable right??

Good question. I just flew J LHR to SYD at the weekend for ~AUD2K (+1000pt) as opposed to ~AUD1K + 51Kpt (LHR taxes being double CDG). I struggled to burn the 51K (MR) for a $1K difference.

The problem is that MH points plus pay is just so well priced - $3.8K return as you correctly pointed out. I wonder just how long that can continue for.

My experience on the A380 leg was fine - friendly and professional with the added bonus of satays and Nasi Lemak!.

A330 was not as good as A380 which was perfectly comfortable, very spacious (ie my legs couldnt touch seat infront when i was sitting down). I liked the A380 and if they had this on the Mel - KL leg id fly MH again.

Guys I just booked a trip using Enrich and cannot bring the booking up on "Manage" on the MH website.
Any thoughts on how to do this ?

And are there any checkmytrip equivalents that can be used to confirm MH bookings that accept five digit reservation codes ?

Cheers
