Could someone who has access to book Enrich redemption flights try to check the points required for :

Melbourne to Los Angeles (any dates) 1 Way - Should be 51k points but is coming up at over 192k points (Business Class) for me.

The flights from Melbourne to London or Paris are all coming up correctly with 51k points.

I am sure they used to be 51k points to LA.

Thanks in advance.

Yes shows 192K or more for a range of dates.
Interestingly KUL to LAX is 255K!

It might be that KUL to LAX is very popular in J. Enrich has a variable points pricing system, that once the cheapest awards go, that the point cost then goes up markedly.

Economy is 55K, indicating that the cheapest J would be cheaper than 192K if available.

As Malaysian is now part of Onewold maybe that has affected the US route as there are a lot of Oneworld in USA.

I was checking a couple of weeks ago, no luck! ... something has definitely changed with regards to LAX. Could not find anything for 51K anymore.

MH Enrich uses variable pricing on their award. Routes/dates would price different depending on load.

Thanks for looking into it but it does not seem as simple as "MH uses variable pricing on their awards"

The Aust-LA award pricing and availability was very good about a month ago, almost any day you could get multiple seat J awards for 51k points. In fact anytime last year these types of bookings were simple and available.

Now it would seem there are a couple of days within a month of today that these seats are available and then after that there is nothing - even 10+ months in advance.
It is like they have not loaded the award seats on the KL to LA leg.

As per my reply above. MH ave now joined Oneworld... USA is a very popular route for FFers in OW airlines and so now a truckload of QFFers and USA OW members have access to award seats on MH.

the other OW airlines including QANTAS do not have enough J/F awrd seats on offer to meet demand.

This may have dried them to the extent that the first and cheapest J Award seats are gone. This is why I mentioned the variable pricing in my reply to you.

There may be another reason, but with the USA route being so popular it would not surprise me that this is the cause.
