I've just booked a return AKL-WLG flight in Feb 08 on QF, for NZ$39/pp per segment. It is in O class. Can anyone confirm how many EQM / EQP I will earn as a normal AAdvantage member?

I think it is 500 EQM / 250 EQP.

NB, if you wanted to earn AA EXP, it would be a fairly cheap way to do it via 100 segments (albeit boring) at NZ$3900, i.e. AU$3500 ~ US$3000, and you could probably win the First to EXP competition on flyertalk in both categories.

You are in the right ball park on earning.

You will earn 500 EQMs and 500 EQPs for the flight

Are you sure about the 500 EQP? Is there a minimum 500 EQP?

This says that 50% mileage accrual, and 0.5 EQP per base mile. NB I got 500 EQP on QF525 BNE-SYD, but that was a V class fare.
