Hi everyone,

I'm trying to book QF Domestic J with avios and the booking engine is telling me 'Sorry there is a problem with booking this journey online. Try selecting other flights' (this is under the 'Total Price' section).

Switching to Y awards on the same flight is fine and doesn't yield any errors. I'm looking at dates in September this year for routes as simple as MEL/SYD/BNE to each other, something I have done plenty of times before with no problem. Has something changed at BA?

Some quick searching reveals the same error when booking QF J between Australia and New Zealand, but not to Asian destinations like SIN or HKG.
Is anyone else seeing this or am I in some kind of twilight zone?

I have been seeing similar for all of July, except I'm not even getting the Avios and price for economy either. I reported the problem to BA 2 weeks ago, and of course was told they have passed it to their IT team, but to call the Service Team. Not much use when we have to work with their timezones, and answer a plethora of identity confirmation questions before they'll even look at flights and prices.

I was hoping someone might know of a workaround, as I've tried Chrome, Firefox and Safari, and even used a VPN to link into other Internet regions, but still the same problem.

From what I can see from my own efforts, you only have one option at the moment, and that is to call BA. It's a bit of a pain, but the UK call centre staff are quite helpful. I'm BA Gold FWIW.
