With the exception of QF flights where an F award SYD/MEL-DXB-LHR is indeed 80K.
The single QF flight numbers are not a transfer or connection in the ME - hence 80K

This is priced as two awards. Transfers/connections are not permitted in the middle east on Australia-Europe itineraries unless under the Doha exception.
Let's not forget about routing through DOH on QR as the other exception to the rule! The single QF flight numbers are not a transfer or connection in the ME - hence 80K![]()

I had my choice from each of ten consecutive days in July next year. I'd call that wide open. Particularly compared to SYD-AUH. Where they literally have pulled all availability +60 days.
Didn't expect negativity in response to this lol, but anyway. Good luck to all - I'm psyched about it!
Just booked a J award via AA on Etihad MUC AUH BNE for October next year. 75K. I had a brief look for F seats into MEL but nothing showed up via the Guest website.
WhoopsI believe that's what he meant by the "Doha exception"
Just tried booking at CMB-xAUH-SYD in J and they wanted 75,000 points grrrrrrr whilst I was hoping for 35K![]()
Your proposed routing is not permitted hence two awards. Routing from Asia 2 to South Pacific only allows a connection in Asia 2.
From MLE it would be 45K.
I learn something new each day, thanks.

Silly question but how does one search for EY F availability? On the internet search tool via AA or another FF or call AA directly? I've been saving up my AA miles but I gotta act now.At least they gave us fair warning...
Must book more apartments by 22nd March!
Check on Etihad for guest availability then ring AA.Silly question but how does one search for EY F availability? On the internet search tool via AA or another FF or call AA directly? I've been saving up my AA miles but I gotta act now.
