I am very glad to hear things are moving, and look forward to the outcome!

Seeing as no one else has mentioned it ... welcome to AFF, Etihad Helper! It's always good to have folk from the airlines on board, even if only to hear things from a different perspective -- please stick around! :)

I'm sorry in advance, but is it just me that thinks this whole 'discussion' feels very sterile and even 'put on' in a way?
It just doesn't seem to be a real complaint or real issue to me?

I have replied with details but it did not go through - here it is again, it is not staged.
I have found that by upgrading on a ticket purchased in AUs if you do it through EY call centre they charge you inAUD but you mMUST insist to get charged in another currency if you wish to do so. If you do the same in another country in person (as I have done in the past) then they charg in the currency of that country (and the cost is always different/cheaper)
If you purchsing through Etihad website you have a choice of Global or other countries websites. If done through australian the charge is inAUD, if on say germann then theycharge in EUR, etc.
In general buying tickets from and to europe it is much cheaper to do it from european websites (of Etihad) . For example ow bus ticket IST-MEL cost 1400 EUR (but the same ticket from say FRA cost 2300 Eur. And same applies to return tickets. Therefore one must be careful which site to use.
Susan Clemson is the Manager Guest Services and my experience is very positive. AND IT IS NOT STAGED !!!

I was also informed that on the Etihad website there is a currency selection option. If not selected then the cost is charged in the currency of the originating city/airport. Must lok for it.:?::?::?:

Hi gilby08,

I can assure you that this is not staged in any way shape or form.

This gentleman had a valid complaint which was addressed, dealt with, and thankfully a suitable resolution reached.

hopefully if any issues arise in the future, I can also help in some way, and show you, I am only here to help :D

Okay fair enough then.

Well surprisingly i did have an issue a few months back and wrote into Etihad in regards to it, but all i got was 'too bad, so sad' response numerous times..
My IFE was not working for the entire trip AUH-MEL and also was changed seats 3 times from when originally making the booking which therefore removed me from my traveling party, and placed me in a seat which i did not 'request'..
But oh well..
