Monday 13 August 2018's EY450 (A380 A6-APH), the 1035 hours AUH down to SYD took off at 2250, so about 12 hours behind schedule. Arrioval is predicted on Tuesday 14 at 1822 instead of 0630 hours.

In these circumstances most catering has to be discarded, but I wonder whether the type of meals offered were varied given the 'reversed' revised timetable?

Due to what AFF member Silvia kindly advised was a risk of lightning in the Sydney area, flights to and from there are being held, or held back, so possibly having insufficient fuel for an indeterminate landing, EY454, the Thursday 6 September 2150 hours AUH to SYD that took off at 2300 hours is diverting to MEL.

Arrival in the southern capital should be at about 1900 hours tonight, 70 minutes after the plane was timetabled to arrive in Sydney. Aircraft is A380 A6-APH.

Assuming a lack of rested, available flight and cabin crew in Melbourne, this aircraft might be there for many hours. Time will tell.

EY460 was late for 2.5 hrs yesterday (well supposed to be the 18th of Sep), we arrived quite late into Melbourne last night,

First hour were due to the fact they lost their slot (late boarding etc)
Second hour were due to disruptive passangers and a crew that fall sick during the chaos, so had to wait for a replacement.

I slept through the delay, but felt sorry for Y class passangers as it was quite a full flight.

Great info. Were the 'disruptive passengers' Caucasian Australian bogans drunk as skunks, or others?

Were they removed, or did you have to put up with them on the flight? Did they nod off to sleep once airborne?

Not sure what nationalities were they but there were 2 of them, hubby said one was white the other was not, both escorted out of the plane. As I said above, I decided to recline my seat and slept after the first hour announcement by the pilot, so I managed to miss all the dramas, only came to know because the senior FA came and informed me when I finally awake.

On Dec 13th, 2018 EY454 AUH-SYD (A380 service - A6-APH) diverted to BNE due to weather in Sydney

Update: BNE-SYD leg departed at 21 27, with a 23 44 arrival into SYD.

This meant that EY455 SYD-AUH did not run as expected at 21 50, instead it departed a day later at 17 03, with an predicted arrival of 23 36.

EY463 (1650 hours MEL - AUH, B789 A6-BLV) is worse with takeoff at 2014 meaning likely Friday 21 arrival at 0320 hours, 195 late.
