As a Velocity Plat, will I get lounge access? I think the use QANTAS, so I have doubts I'm going to get in!

Thanks!

Thanks jbman. Yes, I checked the link, but my question was more about whether travelling on an Etihad ticket with Velocity platinum whether I'd be able to access the QANTAS lounge, which I believe Etihad use in Perth.

I often have issues where Velocity's alleged 'partners' are using third party lounges. Is that the case in Perth?

QF WP gives you nothing flying EY. VA WP have access to EY's contract lounge at PER (which happens to be the QF lounge). If you're concerned ask for a lounge invite as check-in.

You can't use your QF status to access the QF lounge at PER T1 flying EY.

Is that a typo as you referred to VA WP in your OP.

Yeah, it was a typo. Sorry for making a simple question confusing, and thanks to TomVexille for the answer!

Done it many times. Yes you go into the Qantas Lounge when leaving Perth. In Abu Dhabi you access the Al Reem lounge.

Sort of. For some odd reason, the VA website just describes the applicable lounge as "Business Class International Lounge", as opposed to the "Qantas International Business Lounge". TBH, if I had no prior knowledge of the arrangements in place, it would not have been obvious to me that they are referring to the Qantas lounge.

I wonder if the omission of the operating airline's name is just another example of VA's characteristic sloppiness, or a more deliberate act of pettiness? I notice they do include the words "Etihad Airways" when describing all of the EY operated lounges. Same deal with Royal Jordanian, Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific, etc.
