Not a bad deal, works out to be $20 dearer for a week in BNE than the DJ code.
 
It worked fine for me this morning.
Booked two days in Melbourne.
 
The promo is new and current, someone has just broken the link, its just the normal reservation page you get via HH.

Link working from your email and I have booked. So thanks. Pity it didn't extend out a bit longer as I could have used it a bit more. Thanks again. Just getting my head around all this stuff. Have made HH gold via Virgin Gold from QFF status match. Now exploring the HH scheme. All good fun
 
Booking has to be economy or compact.......upgrade to intermediate or full size so maybe an A4 may be on the cards there but no guarantees!

I've been toying with changing a booking I have from an I30 to the A1 (thanks to markis 10's recommendation) but I'm not sure I want to risk an upgrade.....the A1 is what I'd like not an A4. Mind you the 3 day rental for an A1 would be double the rental for the I30!
 
Would have been keen for upcoming NZ trip, but I don't hire small cars (I know their virtues in the city, but taxis are pretty good in the city (well, only as good as the driver)) as I mainly do non city driving in rentals.
 
Is this in conjuction with earning airline points as well for the rental or just HHonors points?

Personally I would take the cheaper rate and earn airline miles as I cannot seem to get a value HHonors points more than 0.6 cents per point in most Hiltons I am likely to visit.

Has anyone taken up this offer and had their Bonus points post to their HH Account.

My two day rental last month is only showing 250 points, and not the extra 2000.
 
Same here. There was no mention anywhere about how long it will take the points to post either. I rang HHonors on Monday. After 15 minutes of faffing around, was eventually told they take 6 - 8 weeks.

Well now I'm not so sure what is going on. My phone conversation seemed to indicate what I previously mentioned. This morning (unexpectedly) I received the following email from HHonors:

Dear Mr. Daver6,

We have received your account inquiry. I apologize that you have not received bonus points for the Europcar promotion. Please contact them directly to have the bonus points submitted to us. We deeply regret the inconvenience.

I replied wanting to know why I'm not receiving an email which contradicts what I was previously told on the phone. Also, why they expect me to chase up Europcar for an offer I received directly from HHonors. I shall post replies as I find out more.

This is now the second time in the last few weeks HHonors have not been up to scratch on two different issues.
