Has anyone taken up this offer and had their Bonus points post to their HH Account.

My two day rental last month is only showing 250 points, and not the extra 2000.

mine have not arrived. 4 weeks

Thanks for drawing the non posting of these points to my attention. The base points have posted but no bonus ones.
I have emailed a query via the link on the HH site. I have found this method very useful once before.

Thanks again :)

they say wait 6 weeks and that it might only work if I handed the Hilton card over to Europcar. Well I didn't do that and my base points posted, so I'll just wait. Seems that there is a lot of waiting for points that goes on in all of these games

I sent an email to Hilton HHonors early last week and today received a reply that my points had been posted.
Checked my account and sure enough they were there.

Still not received mine. Grrr. These type of bonus promotions always turn out to be more hassle than they are worth.

Deka - mind if I ask what email address for HH you used that you had joy with?

Thanks

Same here for 5 rentals, might also need that email addy!

Thanks deka2.

Grrr...I'm getting the run around from them and telling me it isn't their issue to deal with.

Anyone else had much luck?

I have not had any luck, love the English on the promo page now that its over and reverted back to the standard offer:

I don't have my extra points. Previous questioning has seem suggestions that I take it up with Europcar. BUT the base points have posted. I hate having to chase this stuff up

Same...the chasing it up negates any goodwill generated by the promotion. I have had endless emails/phone calls with both Hiltin and Europcar. They have both told me I have received my points (just the 250). They don't get it!.

Finally a response from Europcar. Only took two weeks to tell me that they have in fact credited the points and to take it up with HHonors. HHonors tell me to take it up with Europcar. Grrr!

I think I'll send a link to this thread

I am pleased this is here. I have cut and pasted it to them along with my booking details.
I also had a survey to do after the recent email correspondence and I gave them both barrels.

"We apologize but we do not have access to that information. Please contact Europcar directly to have the missing points posted to your account. We do regret the inconvenience.

I'll make a couple more tries but these responses are laughable and Hilton can go and get st...ed.
I have an opportunity to get gold with SPG through the Diners Mastercard and my planned run to maintain gold with Hilton next year may be overtaken with keeping SPG status

I have finally had the points credited from Hilton. This is even though they claim it is Europcar's problem and Europcar say they have credited the points. Basically a gesture of goodwill, yet they still basically tell me I'm wrong.

Certainly not worth the effort this took. Really really poor effort by both companies.

This crediting issue is similar to issues I've had getting Europcar to credit points to Velocity. After getting the run around from both, I think I gave up. Haven't bothered chasing points that have failed to credit since then. IME, Europcar is to blame in these situations. They even told Velocity that the rental agreement wasn't in my name!

Got the points credited overnight by the looks of it, I copied both local and US HH honors on the email, the local response was canned and not really indicative of being across the issue:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding Europcar bonuses. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us.

Our records indicate that you have received so far 1,000 points per Europcar. The dates that posted are October 01, and three postings for November 20, 2012.

If there is anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact us. For immediate assistance, please click on the link below for the contact number of the Hilton Worldwide Service Center location nearest you.

LOL

I got in touch with a particularly helpful bloke from Europcar who checked with Europe from where the promo is run. My points were sent/notified to Hilton on October 16.
At the same time I had been sending increasing ranty emails to Hilton. Mostly getting the "thank you..have a nice day..now go away" responses.
I even copied this thread and got a nonsense "Hilton cannot act on unverified sources" reply
One helpful operative eventually responded to the copied conditions coupled with a copy of my booking and said he'd post my 2750 points to make the total for the rental up to 3000. I must check if that is what the conditions said
LOL I just checked my account. It seems my multiple communications have paid off.
It should not be this hard. The points aren't worth that much, but if you are making offers I am going to do my darndest to make sure they are honoured.
Last night I did a little calculation and I reckon that I will be 30-40 nights in hotels in 2013. Not as many as some of you people but I would have thought that I might worth something to a hotel chain.
