Anyone starting to think of booking Europe summer, mid June currently showing? (Travel purposes only and apolitical)

I agree 2023 looks more likely, but if there is no harm in booking, I might do the same. Does anyone have the simple details on refunds/return points if this can't (or one decides not to) go ahead?

Even though ADL to SIN is showing, with fares, I don't dare to book.
Have had my 2 doses of pfizer already.
Re the booking for Jun 2022, to each their own, ... too soon, our ABF might still not open borders too far, even though QF says they will open to flights internationally by this Dec.
Yep, maybe 2023 would be a better bet than end of this year/2022.

SQ has been flying to SA all through the pandemic. Freight. Thankyou SQ. Their pricing is so much better than QR and Qantas who don't actually fly here anyway.

Bookings out of Australia are easy at the moment - but nothing coming back? All waitlisted.
Are you doing one ways and waiting to get a return?

Yep, expecting the return legs to become available once the situation with borders / arrival caps is resolved.

Most likely all flights coming into Aust are repats, ie taking people back re covid, those who are Au citizens or PR visa holders wanting to return.
Not sure how long it would take 20,000 people to return.

Booked for July and August 2022; BNE-FCO, MRS-MUC, MUC-BNE all J on SQ points. Surely it will be fine by then to be flying high 😉

Ideally, all be ok, but its all talk at the moment, **(OT) I have used my SQ KF miles for a coffee spoon!**
In the end, its only for either SM (Scott) Lib/AB (Ant) ALP to decide, on the advice/advisement of health though, (of course), as to if we have an open border by then, or only still that "travel bubble mentality".
80% vaccination rate coming up, but its all talk at the moment, as to our border situation.
Hopefully its an all go for you, OP, but for me, I don't dare do any bookings, dom or int, at this point in time.
I don't dare to cancel and get points back, or use p+p.

Booked 2x First Saver MEL-SIN-FRA for August next year. Flying up on different flights on the same day for the MEL-SIN (overnight Crowne Plaza), but then same First Saver flight SIN-FRA the following day. That midday flight to FRA seems to be the only flight with 2x Saver First availability into Europe for that time of year. Good way to burn those expiring SQ miles!

As others are finding, no First Savers from Europe to SIN, however there is at least 1x First Saver from SIN into MEL/SYD and vv). Booked Biz saver awards coming home as a worst case if First Savers don’t open up In the meantime.

I booked Europe fro June next year. i think borders will open later this year - at least thats what all the noise seems to be allbeit only to select high vax countries. No point the govt telling us things will open up at 80% if they don't.

Congrats! What did you book?
