On a recent search for flights from Manila to JFK, Eva Air came in the cheapest, has anyone travelled with Eva lately that would like to share their experience.

Thanks,

Often the low price has more to do with the itinerary having a long or overnight connection rather than the calibre of the airline. Often the longer the transit time the cheaper the ticket. How long do you have in TPE?

My only experience flying BR was in March 2014 BNE/xTPE/CTS as part of one of the infamous US DM 30K sorties in J class to GUM. Most of the time you're not really going to know what exactly is going on in the coughpit but after seeing the ACI episode of the Asiana crash in SFO I was gobmacked how little hand flying or ILS approaches pilots of some airlines have done.

I have never flown Eva Air and want to fly with them but for flights to/from Taipei they have been the most expensive by far.

What class are you looking to book Onemore?
No experience in Y but I've flown Eva Air intra-Asia J and long haul J - Royal Laurel class. Was very impressed by the onboard service and soft product.

I think you mean visual approaches. Mostly all of the longhaul crews will only ever do ILS approaches.

Flew HKG <> TPE with them in J last year, not a very long flight but thought they were pretty good, definitely on par with CX for that route.

EVA would be one of my favourite airlines. Only flown them twice, both times on the 777.

Since they don't have F class they up their game in J.

Think they have the best PJs - soft thin cotton so you don't over heat.

Getting a J aware seat on them seems increasingly difficult these days.
