I would have disputed the charge if they had not credited it back.

I should have, but to be honest, disputing such a small amount is time wasted out of my day and the time was more important to me.

I don't recall the CNS terminals being 1km apart. Maybe 300m. Is there a new international terminal?

Can't I beef up the story a bit? It's not a km but it's over 300m. I'd hazard a real guess of around 500m. Remember arrivals is down the far end of the Int terminal and you have to go into the Dom terminal to book out the car (they don't do it from the carpark kiosk) and than back out to the carpark to pick up the car and the guard rail means you have to use the ped. x-ing whereas if they bothered to meet my flight at the Int, the desk is at the arrivals door and the car would be 20m out the door and across the road. I'm there tomorrow, I'll measure it!

Of course you can beef up the story. Understood now.
I just thought that there might be a new terminal. Wasn't excusing europcar

BTW Google Maps makes it 600m using walking directions

Had a situation with Hertz in Canberra back in the late 90's using corporate discount (so I was tied to Hertz) where I was routinely pinged for refuelling. 10 litres here, 6 litres there. Worst was 25 litres when I had only travelled 20 km in total.

Turned out one or two soon to ex staff would top up their own cars and bill it to corporate rentals as most would simply hand their keys back and no care about the charges on the account.

I get satisfaction from them admitting they made a mistake.

I must admit, I love that as well, however this frequent flyer bag is a time consuming thing. It's great knowing what you're owed.....not so great chasing up two and even three times over, to get what you're owed......especially when you're told "oh you want your points? OK wait four weeks and if you're lucky we just might post them" and then 4 weeks later, find the only thing left to do, is start again and often with a different phone jockey saying "oh you want your points? OK wait four weeks and if you're lucky we just might post them". I have no doubt millions of points are scammed by the so called givers each year and it's up to us to stay on the ball and play the game! Sometimes, something just have to give, despite being right!
