Hi Guys,

Recently received new card NAB velocity premium with 60,000 points. Need to spend $1500 in order to get bonus points.

I am thinking to pay RENT via DEFT ( 1.5% visa fee ). Is this DEFT payment excluded ?

I too recently received a NAB premium card with the 60,000 point offer.
In December, I used the card to pay Darwin City Council rates instalment ($332) via DEFT and yes I have been credited with points (498) towards the $1500 spend.
And so to answer your question, I think you will be OK to pay via DEFT.

That is awesome to hear Smithy! My Townsville rates are due and I just got this card. Can knock over the $1500 spend just by paying them but wasn't sure if I would get the points and the bonus points. Townsville uses bpoint payment system which looks similar to deft. Charges a .5% credit card fee so hopefully it will be ok.
