Just what I need, the 200g bars are close to half price this week, $1.84 per entry, more walking!

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

I have purchased one block of chocolate so far in the promotion. I would have loved to bought more but I'm trying to cut down on chocolate at the moment. I got the message that I had won a free block of chocolate so went through all the steps to claim the prize. I haven't received the prize chocolate yet. Has anyone received their free block of chocolate? Was the prize chocolate the same type as the one you bought in order to enter the competition.

I'm enjoying hearing about the use of the self serve checkouts to make the most of bonus offers without being questioned by staff. I'll remember that next time I want to get as many points as possible with multiple transactions. Usually I avoid the self serve checkouts.

Yeah, I like the idea of juggling cards in the self-serve area!

Much as I love chocolate, ever since I've had enough money to eat as much as I want, I don't. Small amounts of the best quality stuff are better, IMHO, than large amounts of any sort. A square or two of dark Lindt or Cailer with my evening coffee, for example.

But I can be swayed if there are points involved. I generally respond to the EDR specials, such as 250 points for buying a certain quantity of coffee. I love my coffee, and if it works out to over $30 and I pay for it with a certain card, then chucking in a small bar of chocolate is no hassle. I regard it as smart thinking, even if my wretch of a wife differs. The promotion bars begin at 40g, and that's barely a bite.

Realistically, there's five million points on offer, nine prizes to be awarded, and very likely several million entries all told. Especially with no special action required to enter, not even a website activation. To be perfectly honest, it's not worth the effort.

But it would be a sad old world if we all acted the same boring way, wouldn't it? And with every bite of chocolate comes a dream. A half million points, or a million in the grand prize.

The little snack bars are only $1 at the moment too.

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

Bought a little (60g) snack bar for Mrs LW today at work - bonus, brownie points and a chance to get another one. Plus I needed something worth at least $0.80 to make up the shopping to $60 - a nice round figure ;)

Well I have thoroughly disgraced myself today-I bought 6 200gm blocks-I will have to make them last at least a month!

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

Time to do some of that cooking for others...cakes anybody ;) :D

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

Have created a new ice cream recipe-crunchie chocolate and coffee flavour ice cream.
You can use the double mocha ice cream recipe -
Nigelinoz Food Blog: Double Mocha Ice Cream
just replace the milk chocolate in the recipe with a 200gm block of crunchie chocolate.
Cheers

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

Is it just coincidence that The Biggest Loser is on TV? There's a few contestants leaving the barracks - they would have to be front-runners for prizes if they binge out.

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

Just got my first two free blocks in the mail

I notice in the terms and condiitons they reserve the right to delay sending then due to anticipated weather conditions.

So when do they send it? On a 32 degree day no less. Needless to say they were a little bit rubbery. Into the fridge with you!

No free blocks for me yet, but the weekly stock of 2 blocks (1 per card) is starting to add up... So now, I need a chocolate, wine and spirits party.

Maybe WW should do a bonus points offer on cheese!

Well I'm demolishing the second half of a bottle of red with dinner and some chocolate for dessert, but will I win another block?

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

My free block of chocolate arrived today, just as the weather cooled down. The block was the same variety as the one I had purchased. I love plain milk chocolate.

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

I just entered the 3 blocks I bought this week into the draw and guess what? THREE free blocks!

It's getting out of hand. There are now 8 blocks (hidden) in the pantry, a block in the fridge, and now 3 at work (1 open, two stashed in the locker).

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

AVC, what percentage are you running on the freebies to purchases? You must be lucky, my wife can sniff out hidden chocolate :o [or pointedly asks, "where have you hidden it" - even when there really isn't any hidden anywhere]

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

I am running at 50 percent, however I seem to have more success in the morning than evening, cannot help but think they allocate a number at the start of each day?

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

Before this week it 33%
Now I am up to 50%

I am much taller than my wife, so I just hide stuff up high. :)

I wouldn't stoop so low as to hide chocolate from my wife. Besides, my son is about as tall as I am.

Re: Everyday Rewards Cadbury Catch up Promotion

I just bought my first chocolate under this promo and won a freebie first go :!: :D
