Everyday Rewards launches Everyday Extra subscription product

Interestingly I normally get 15 boosters for products each week (it's been steadily increasing over the last 12 months), but this week it dropped to 12. I'll be keeping an eye on if that's a once-off or a recurring thing.
I used to get 3 or 4, but it has settled on 12 for last couple of months, bar one week when I got none.

Curious to know why?
Multiple reasons, inter alia:

1) Locks you into spending at Woolworths in order to get the benefit from the fee paid.

2) Increased spending with Woolworths always lessens the bonus point offerings.

3) 10% discount is already available from Woolworths if you have an insurance product etc.

4) You'd get better offerings for bonus points, which outweight the cost of this subscription product, by having multiple free accounts and cycling between those.

For me saving money often requires some effort. Paying a fee to 'save money' just doesn't seem right. I think Woolworths is targetting 'lazy', or at least time poor, people with his type of offer. If you can make it work for you, then go for it. But I can't get benefit from this product.

No brainer for us, shop at Woolies 90% of the time anyway for groceries, and am already committed twice per month because of having Woolies insurance on one of our cars, which will more than cover the fee, so it's basically triple points for nothing.

Just signed up, yearly subscription. No brainer here too, Woolies is our closest and where we go.

I'll try it out this weekend, and get the 10% discount through the Woolies insurance, so I'll see if it does it again for this new scheme.
MrsK also has the Woolies Life Insurance and a Woolies mobile plan. I have her reward card details on my phone in StorCard app. So potentially I can get a10% discount twice there.
I'll report back on how it goes.
It's all worked as advertised for me, with the 10% off and the 3x points.

As Woolies is our local store, then it's money for jam in our situation. I got the 10% off our weekly shop, which sits in the $220-$250 range, so $20+ off - which covers the subscription. I'll also get my other 10% discount from my life insurance. And then I have MrsK Rewards card on my phone in the StoCard app, so that's another two lots of $10 discounts, one for her mobile and the other for her life insurance.

And, as a bonus, I got an email today to let me know I had won 5000 Reward Points in the Everyday Pay competition. Every little bit helps.

Has anyone noticed a delay in points crediting since taking up Extra? Points from boosters still seem to be coming through relatively quickly, but the usual base points per dollar seems to be having issues (I'm now sitting at nearly 36 hours and counting)...

Mine come through immediately.

Also been posting immediately, 10% discount worked immediately too.

This could potentially be interesting for those keen on earning extra rewards.

Costs $7 per month or $59 per year with a free 30-day trial. The subscription product itself is currently in trial-mode, and will only accept a certain number of new subscriptions while they're rolling it out.

Benefits:
  • 10% off one shop at Woolworths and Big W each month (up to $50 discount per shop)
  • 3x points on all shops at Woolworths and Big W
  • Subscriber-only freebies and offers (including free products and additional boosts)
Everyday Extra - The easy way to stack on extra value, everyday.
Where do you find the "Extra"? I must be going blind in my old age.

Update on this - finally credited (without the need to follow up) about 96 hours after shop. Think their system might have coughped it with the number of multipliers included with the purchase 😂

I'll give this a go for the trial period, at least. The 3x points seems good but I do wonder if other points offers will dry up as a result and whether the the 3x will stack with other offers, should they be forthcoming.

The 10% off, once per month, would easily cover the monthly fee and especially the equivalent monthly fee of the annual subscription.

I've decided not to continue beyond the trial period. It was having more of an influence on my shopping habits than I'm comfortable with. That's what WW is counting on, I guess.
