Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

I believe I have been playing the game, (not a total newbie to this) but it hasn’t been working ;) That’s why I visited the thread - to see what I’m missing out on.
How many separate cards do you have?

How many weeks do you leave it between spending on each of these separate cards?

What is your total spend each week on each of your separate cards?

How many times a week do you spend on a card before putting that card away for a period of inactive use?

Are each of your separate cards in different names, with different email addresses and different physical addresses?

When was the last time you closed a card and/or opened a new card account?

Without proving full details to all of your queries, I Am using all of those strategies except closing and opening a new card.
 
I did use Dr Ralph's strategy and opened a new card. And shelved my other card for a few weeks.

I just got an offer on on my original card for a spend of $130 for 2 weeks for 1000 points each week in one or more shops. I'm thinking I may not complete the shop as the spend is quite high.

If it was me I'd accept the offer. Make a spend of less than $10. Put the card back in your draw. Wait. In less than 3 months you'll get a much better offer. If not close the account and start a new one. The successful formula is consistently the same if you want offers.

I can't get my Coles offers below spends in excess of $120 a week because of the gift card purchases I make with Coles. At least Woolworths doesn't hike your spend amounts because of gift card spending like Coles does.

Sounds like you may need to open a few new cards. :) :)

I've employed that strategy (for both Coles and Woolworths) with some degree of success.
 
My partner and I have only one Coles card and one WW card each (total 4 cards)

Not being a big family, we often don't need to spend a lot between us on a weekly basis and keep stock in the cupboard to tide us over (see below) so we don't feel compelled to do a shop at the retailers whim.

We check each of the offers to each of us each week (4 offers) and decide which is the best. If none of the offers are really good then we don't activate any and split our shopping where the prices are best just for perishables.

When we get a really good offer of points then we will activate the offer and look for all the 1/2 price specials of our non-perishables and spend up big to meet the target and store the items (like shampoo, soap, canned goods, dish-washing tablets, vitamins etc etc). i.e. we match the points offer with the best price offers of the week for goods and save twice.

Some 1/2 price offers only come round every couple of months so when we have a half price offer on that item will buy a couple months worth and store away.

The randomness of us not buying anything one week (because we are shopping at the opposition) and swapping between partners and then a couple weeks later buying up big seems to confuse their "offer" system and we usually get 2 to 3 good offers a month.

Cancel accounts. Start again. 1500 points for every new account. No need to think more about it. You have to take every possible action to succeed in this game. Sitting back and wondering why you aren't getting offers is a doomed strategy.

But the good news is if you don't use the offer another one is likely to be directed your way sooner rather than later, especially if you partially use this offer.
That's what I would have hoped and have experienced in the past. However, I was in a similar situation. Did the first week of a multi-week offer. Was overseas for the rest. Haven't had a single Woolies offer since I got back. (I don't count the offer for 300 bonus points for buying 12 wines from Cellarmasters.)

How many weeks since you last spent and your last offer?
 
About 4-5 weeks. (They are still sending the "this week's specials" email, so they haven't totally forgotten me.)

I'd put that card in your draw and use another one for 2 months. If nothing on that card, cancel and open another one.
 
Is there any way to unlink your QFF number when you discard a woolies card and then link it to a new account? Or are you stuck with one of the other options at that point?

Can unlink. But remember the names always need to match.

Got two offers this afternoon. Same one on two different accounts.
Spend $50 on beer at BWS and get 3000 bonus points.
Do it online and get an extra 2000 points.
Looks like I am going to be buying some beer.
Love it when they do this sort of stuff,
 
I must have spent too much on beer in the past.... 2500 points for $60 spend... plus the online offer which I will never use.

I received similar - $60.00 spend on BEER (not hard to do) for 2500 points + 2000 if I buy online. Happy with that even if not on a par with @midnight .
